Thank you so much for reading, liking and commenting. I'll just say thank you to your compliment and not minimize it like women often do- LOL. Since I have been on Substack, I feel my writing improving. However, my family & friends are a loyal fan base. I appreciate you all and hope everyone finds their "thing" whatever it is.

Thank you! I count you as part of my Lafayette Writers’ Studio family. Remember the Open Mic night at Matchbox? We heard each other read our work & independently each asked Melissa to introduce us. Then we learned our birthdays are 1 day apart! Writers gotta write❤️

Always dropping that knowledge and I know it’s possible because you did it too! You are the epitome of “older, bolder and better!”

Thank you, cousin! As I share here on Substack frequently, we come from a long family history of people who beat tremendous odds. They didn't just barely survive, they thrived and smiled & celebrated. But there was no platform to share their story, so I am sharing their stories along with my own. I think my spirit to become “Older, Bolder & Better” came from them. @Vee

Brenda I share your enthusiasm for rekindling dreams! I do want to add - some of the dreams I had while working many many hours (!) actually weren't good dreams at all. What I learned when I had the chance to get to all those things I thought I would do in retirement was - that I really didn't want to do them. And I learned its totally fine to pivot to something different. What we dream about in our 20s and 30s may be different in our 60s and 70s. The point is - dont be afraid to explore everything!

Patti, thanks so much for sharing your comment. We evolve as people and the world around us evolves. Our dreams may evolve as well.
